Expanded Upstate New York tribal casino showcases $50 million investment, introducing fresh slot machines and improved facilities
Point Place Casino, located in upstate New York, has announced a significant expansion, set to open in phases starting from August 1, 2025. The first phase of this $50 million renovation will see the addition of 400 new slot machines and a doubling of the casino's gaming floor size.
The expansion includes several upgrades and new amenities:
- A remodeled Fireside Lounge with a 360-degree view of a wood-burning fireplace and seating capacity for 60 guests, as well as space for 70 people at the bar.
- Updated general amenities within the casino.
- Plans for future additions such as a hotel, restaurant, event space, and additional facilities, aimed at enhancing both accommodation and entertainment options.
The expansion is expected to boost local economic engagement by creating new vendor and partnership opportunities, with a focus on sustaining economic growth in the region.
Charlotte Hansen, who is overseeing the renovation, stated, "We are excited to bring this expansion to life and continue to offer our guests a special experience at Point Place Casino." Jerry Marrello, Vice President for Regional Casinos at Turning Stone Enterprises, shared similar sentiments, saying, "Despite the expansion, our guests will continue to have a special experience at Point Place Casino."
To celebrate the expansion, DJ Bill T, DJ Van Slay, and celebrity impersonator Reuben Castillo will provide live entertainment at Point Place Casino. Photo opportunities will also be available for guests.
The work reflects the Oneida Indian Nationβs ongoing commitment to reinvestment and regional economic development, with further developments planned beyond 2025.
