Outpatient rehabilitation center "Wendepunkt" marks its 25th anniversary in Arnsberg
The LWL Rehabilitation Center's Ambulatory Addiction Rehabilitation program, based in the premises of the Wendepunkt counseling center in Arnsberg, celebrated its 25th anniversary recently. This program, designed for individuals with alcohol, medication, or drug dependencies, offers a tailored therapy that can easily be combined with work and family life.
Located in the same building as the cooperative partner Suchthilfe Wendepunkt of the city of Arnsberg, the program benefits from the close cooperation, short distances, and reliable care provided by the Wendepunkt team. The founder of the Wendepunkt-Betreuungsstelle in Arnsberg, Dr. Günter Schönauer, has been instrumental in this successful partnership.
Psychologist Barbara Menk, who has been part of the team since the beginning, highlighted the great commitment of her team and the importance of the cooperative partnership during the anniversary celebrations. She emphasized the consistent further development of the program over the past 25 years. Dr. Angelika Schelte, the chief physician, was also present during the reflection on two and a half decades of the program.
The Wendepunkt team, led by Susanne Beyer, the director of the Arnsberg "Wendepunkt", and the counseling team, congratulated the management team of the LWL Rehabilitation Center on their anniversary. They particularly praised the flexible and regionally accessible counseling services provided by the LWL Rehabilitation Center.
The program offers a wide range of services, including individual and group conversations, social counseling, support for professional reintegration, and support for family members. The team at Wendepunkt assists with questions related to alcohol, medication, illegal drugs, gambling addiction, or other issues.
The LWL Rehabilitation Center, based in Neheim, ensures a low-threshold support system for those in the surrounding area. Wendepunkt provides counseling, information, and support to those directly affected, as well as to family members, employers, and colleagues. The municipal counseling center Wendepunkt in Arnsberg offers addiction counseling and psychosocial support.
Over the past 25 years, the LWL Rehabilitation Center has been successfully supporting people with addiction issues. The team's dedication and commitment to their clients, coupled with the close cooperation with Wendepunkt, have made this program a beacon of hope for many in the region.
