On the night of September 3-4, 2025, Frankfurt police conducted a focused operation on the A66 motorway, targeting speeding offenses. The stretch between Hoechst and Eschborn junctions, notorious for excessive speeding incidents, was the focus of these measures.

During the overnight operation from Wednesday to Thursday, a total of eleven speeding offenses were recorded. Among these, one driver was caught speeding by an alarming 53 km/h, while another offender reached a shocking speed of 171 km/h. This is 71 km/h over the speed limit of 100 km/h on this section of the motorway.

Six of these speeding offenses resulted in driving bans, indicating a clear disregard for road safety by some drivers. In addition, the worst offender during the control measures appeared to be under the influence of intoxicating substances, raising further concerns about road safety.
